The only event of its kind in the United States, the TESOL Advocacy & Policy Summit is an2019 TESOL Advocacy & Policy Summit unparalleled professional development opportunity for educators to learn about U.S. federal education issues and advocate for policies that support English learners and the field of English language education. By attending the TESOL Advocacy & Policy Summit, you will:

Tentative Schedule

The full ss will be released in early June. The summit's tentative schedule is:

Monday 17 June: Check-in and materials pick-up: 8:00 am - 9:00 am

  • Welcome and Introductions: 9:00 am - 9:30 am
  • Federal Policy Update: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
  • Breakout Sessions and Lunch: 11:15 am - 1:30 pm
  • Advocacy Training: 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Tuesday 18 June: Keynote Speaker: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

  • Breakout Sessions and Lunch: 10:00 am - 1:30 pm
  • Advocacy Training: 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm
  • Wednesday 19 June: Capitol Hill Meetings: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Closing Dinner: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
