Guidelines for the ORTESOL Labor Liaison (1 position)

Overall Objective: Serve as liaison between the board and labor interests focused on English language teaching in the state of Oregon.  As a new position, this offers an opportunity to build relationships with ESOL teachers and labor organizations in Oregon.

Election: 1 Labor Liaison will be elected by ORTESOL members for 2-year term

Duties & Time commitment: Approximately 70-90 hours of commitment per year for 2 years excluding the quarterly board meeting time

Serves on the Advocacy Committee

Maintains relationships with unions throughout the state

Creates a map of representation in the state
